<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk case in which a larger amount of glass substrates for magnetic disks can be stored without damaging the main surfaces of the disks, and to provide a method of shipping the glass substrates for the magnetic disks. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The disk case includes: a disk body in which the glass substrates for magnetic disks can be stored; and a plurality of partitions provided at the disk body. In the disk case, the glass substrates for the magnetic disks each to be formed with a magnetic recording layer on only one of the main surfaces thereof are stored in the state of standing between the partitions. The glass substrates for the magnetic disks are arranged so that the surfaces each to be formed with the magnetic recoding layer face each other and that the surfaces not to be formed with magnetic recoding layer face each other. The distance between the surfaces not to be formed with magnetic recoding layer is shorter than the distance between the surfaces to be formed with the magnetic recoding layer.
