<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and an image processing method, allowing correct decision of whether or not objects are for gradation even when not regularly adjacent. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Drawing data are rearranged in coordinate (Y-axis) order (step S11). A drawing object information extraction part 15 extracts a direction vector and color information from the objects (step S14). When it is decided that the vector is continuous (step S15) and when it is decided that color gradually changes (step S16), it is decided that the objects are the gradation (step S17), and a reference vector is updated (step S18). Thereafter, a print data generation part 17 generates print data from the drawing data, and a data transmission/reception part 19 transmits the print data or the like to a printer 7.
