<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal deformation measuring device of a cylinder bore that reduces variation of temperature distribution of a wall surface of the cylinder bore in measurement, in a warm state and measures accurate thermal deformation of the cylinder bore by attaining a temperature distribution which is close to engine working time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This thermal deformation measuring device includes a piston-like body 20, which is to be inserted into the cylinder bore 2; a gap sensor 30 that is disposed in the body 20 and reads the position of the radial direction of the cylinder bore 2 of a bore wall surface 3; a driving mechanism for vertically moving the body 20, in a predetermined range of the height direction of the cylinder bore 2; a rotor 27 for rotating the gap sensor 30, in the circumference direction along the bore wall surface 3 and positioning it at a predetermined position of the circumference direction; a rotation sensor or the like for reading the position in the height direction of the gap sensor 30; and a rotary encoder, or the like, for reading the position of the circumference direction of the gap sensor 30.
