PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device for automatically correcting offset of an infrared sensor by solving the problem that any conventional technology needs constituents other than the infrared sensor, makes it difficult to miniaturize a measuring system including the infrared sensor in the measuring device and to reduce cost for them, and makes it difficult to separate objects desired to be detected generating a signal component when the objects already exist and an environment variation not desired to be detected generating the signal component thereafter. SOLUTION: Output signals of an infrared sensor unit 1 are measured with a sensor output measurement unit 2. Necessary sensor output out of measured sensor outputs is selected with a sensor output selection unit 3 to store the sensor output to a sensor output storing unit 4. The measuring device 100 automatically corrects offset of the infrared sensor 1 with a sensor offset correction unit 5 on the basis of data of the sensor output storing unit 4.
