PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cost in a ball type constant velocity joint with a small joint operation angle. SOLUTION: This ball type constant velocity joint includes an outer ring having an outer ring ball groove 23, an inner ring having an inner ring ball groove, balls 40 rolling in the outer ring ball groove 23 and the inner ring ball groove 32, and a cage for holding the balls 40. Cutting work is executed in groove bottom parts contacting with the balls 40 in the outer ring ball groove 23 and the inner ring ball groove 32. The cutting work is executed in at least a rolling range of the balls 40, and is omitted in at least one part other than the rolling range of the balls 40. Working areas A1 executed with the cutting work are provided respectively in axial-directional central parts of the outer ring ball groove 23 and the inner ring ball groove 32, and unworking areas B2 not executed with the cutting work are provided respectively in axial-directional both sides of each working area A1.
