MASS SPECTROMETRIC SYSTEM

Disclosed is a mass spectrometric system comprised of a quadrupole filter (12) provided upstream of a quadrupole ion trap (13), through which ions are transmitted at a predetermined filter range, wherein the filter range of the quadrupole filter (12) is determined so that the time for the accumulation of ions in the quadrupole ion trap (13) can be maximized.  The time for accumulation of ions is determined on the basis of mass spectrometric data information. Thus, when a small amount of a sample component mixed with various coexisting components is analyzed using a mass spectrograph using a quadrupole ion trap, the analysis throughput and the S/N ratio are improved.
