The device (1) has a turbine housing (2) that is divided into an inner shell (8) and an outer shell (9), where the shells are made of metal i.e. steel metal. A gap (10) is formed between the inner shell and the outer shell. The gap is partially and/or section-wise evacuated for reduction of thermal conduction. Sides of the shells are reflected and turned toward the gap. The sides of the shells are partially coated with a non-metallic material i.e. ceramic.
