METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING DELAYED-RELEASE MICROSPHERES

PURPOSE: A method for preparing sustained release microsphere is provided to suppress initial excessive release of physiologically active substance and to continuously and uniformly release the substance. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing sustained release microsphere of physiologically active substance comprises: a step of dissolving biodegradable polymer in non-aqueous solvent; a step of suspending and dispersing physiologically active substance to the non-aqueous solution; a step of mixing the non-aqueous solution and physiologically active substance to form emulsion; a step of mixing release inhibitor with suspended solution or emulsion solution; a step of adding emulsion solution to aqueous medium to form microsphere; and a step of removing organic solvent. The biodegradable polymer is polylactide polyglycolide, poly(lactide-co-glycolide) or poly(lactide-co-glycolide)glucose.
