PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing customized advertisement in video on demand service are provided to display advertisement without interfering with watching and to register keywords which can attract the viewer. CONSTITUTION: A system for providing customized advertisement comprises a video file server(20), a streaming server(30), a keyword-based advertisement search server(40), a keyword-based advertisement database(50), and a time table database(60). The video file server stores video file about multimedia contents, and transmits the stored video file to the streaming server. The streaming server transmits the video file transmitted from the video file server and a video ID for discriminating the video file to the viewer client. The keyword-based advertisement database searches keywords for each video ID according to the playtime of the video file from the time table database and stores advertisement related information according to keyword. The keyword-based advertisement database provides advertisement information related to the keywords according to the playtime to the keyword-based advertisement search server. The time table database stores the keywords according to the video file playtime for each video ID as a time-keyword table, and provides the keywords to the keyword-based advertisement search server. |
