<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resonator which secures a sufficient resonator length and is easily manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: The optical resonator includes: three line segment-shaped optical waveguides W1 to W3 which are arranged intersecting each other at one intersecting region C in a common plane 12a; a curved optical waveguide Pi which, when the parts of the optical waveguides extending from the intersecting region toward the outside are defined as first to sixth optical waveguide parts clockwise, connects the end parts of the waveguide parts opposite side from the intersecting region of 2i-first and 2i-th optical waveguide parts (i is integer from 1 to 3); and an optical coupler K which couples the light vertically inputted to or outputted from the plane to the optical waveguides, and is formed in a region in which the intersecting region is included and to which the optical waveguides is connected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
