<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus and a record timing signal generating method capable of precisely outputting a record timing signal along with variations in the conveyance speed of a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The image formation apparatus forms an image on the recording medium when a recording head and the recording medium continuously undergoes relative movement. The image formation apparatus includes: a pulse signal generating unit which outputs a pulse signal indicating the relative movement speed of the recording head and the recording medium; a reference clock signal generating unit which generates a reference clock signal of a frequency higher than the frequency of the pulse signal; a reference value calculating unit which counts the reference clock signal, obtains the cycle of the pulse signal, and calculates the reference value of the recording timing signal based on a predetermined calculation expression using the frequency as a variable; and a recording timing signal generating unit which counts the reference clock signal and outputs the recording timing signal repeatedly at the cycle in which the count value matches the reference value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
