<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens adapter and conversion lens easily and certainly mounted to an imaging device such as a digital still camera or the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This lens adapter includes a projection 41 with a shape inserted into a fixed groove 141 formed in an outer peripheral surface of a lens ring 140 of the imaging device, a stopper 40 having the projection 41, a support shaft 23 for rockably supporting the stopper 40, rocking guides 33a and 33b for rocking the stopper 40 so that the projection 41 comes into or out of the fixed groove 141, and an outer frame 30 for operating the rocking guides 33a and 33b so as to form a fixed state where the projection 41 comes into the fixed groove 141 or a released state where the projection 41 comes out of the fixed groove 141.
