The present invention is directed to a method of viral transduction of a cell, wherein a bead is coated with a virus and the virus coated bead is contacted with the cell to transfer a nucleic acid to the cell. Moreover, the invention refers to a virus coated bead and composition comprising such bead and their use for the preparation of a medicament for preventing and/or treating a disease.
