<p>A detector for an internal-combustion engine, which is mounted in an exhaust system, is preferably applicable to the internal-combustion engine equipped with temperature-varying members the temperature values of which are varied due to gas flow in the exhaust system. A temperature correlation value detection means detects correlation values correlated with the temperature values of the temperature-varying members. The term correlation values herein include impedance values of the temperature-varying members, signal output values such as the current and voltage output by the temperature-varying members, and the temperature-varying members' own temperature values. A variation amount calculation means calculates the variation amount in the correlation values detected by the temperature correlation value detection means.</p> |
