<p>An ink cartridge for an ink-jet printer includes a cartridge body (1), a protecting cover (2) which can move with respect to the cartridge body (1) under pressure, a detecting mechanism for detecting a mounting position of the ink cartridge and the amount of the ink remaining in the cartridge. The detecting mechanism is provided with a first (4) and a second detecting components matched with a first and a second sensors (3,5) on the printer respectively, and a soft supporting cap (9) located on the cartridge body (1) and fluid communicated with an ink chamber within the cartridge body (1). The second detecting component comprises a movable rod element (7) with one end rotatablely fixed to the cartridge body (1), and a movable rod element adjusting means (8) mounted on the protecting cover (2).</p> |
