Disclosed is a means for suppressing the generation of noise while electric current of sufficient magnitude is flowing in the form of plasma in spark discharge intervals at the time of ignition of a plasma jet ignition plug. A resistor (R1), one end of which is connected to a diode (D1) disposed in the gap between plasma jet ignition plug (100) and a high voltage generating circuit (210) and the other end of which is electrically connected to a central electrode(40) of the plasma jet ignition plug (100), is provided together with a capacitor (C1), one end of which is electrically connected to the central electrode(40) of the plasma jet ignition plug (100) and the other end of which is earthed.
