The present invention relates to an improvement in the packaging and transportation of machine readable discs in the form of a kit which comprises a paper mail carrier and a pouch wherein the pouch is able to receive machine readable discs and the pouch is designed to fit inside the paper mail carrier, the invention also relates to a method of making the paper mail carrier which is formed from a web material and comprises a front panel and a rear panel, said front and rear panels being connected by fold lines and further comprising: at least one pocket formed in said front and/or rear panel for receiving an item, and means for releasably securing front and rear panels to retain the item in the pocket and wherein said means comprises at least one sealing flap securable to the front or rear panels forming the pocket and wherein the carrier is further provided with re-positional adhesive to ensure that all open sides of the paper mail carrier are sealable.
