PURPOSE: A global positioning system receiver and correcting a satellite vehicle clock method thereof is provided to correct a satellite time by using the location and velocity of a satellite. CONSTITUTION: A satellite signal reception unit(100) receives a satellite signal from one or more satellite. The satellite signal reception unit extracts navigation data from the satellite signal. A decoder(110) decodes navigation data. A satellite positioning unit(120) decides the location of satellite by using the decoded navigation data. A satellite hour correction unit calculates the speed of the satellite. The satellite hour correction unit correct the satellite hours by using at least one of satellite speed and satellite location.
