<p>The device (1) has a conveying device (2) for conveying a workpiece in a process flow direction. A machining unit (3) e.g. form cutter, machines the workpiece in an edge region. A workpiece inlet (4) is arranged at an upstream located end of the conveying device. An electronic control device stores information about operating parameter of the machining unit and workpiece thickness of a workpiece (W). The control device controls the workpiece inlet in dependence upon the operating parameter and/or the workpiece thickness, where the workpiece is made of wood, wood material, plastic or metal. The operating parameters are selected from a group of feed rate, minimum workpiece gap, temperature, air humidity, movement speed, travel time, cutting volume, and thickness of the edges of the workpiece.An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling loading a machining device.</p> |
