The invention relates to a plasma ignition burner, which comprises at least two stage burning cylinders and a plasma generator for igniting coal powder in a first stage burning cylinder of the at least two stage burning cylinders, wherein the burning flame of the upper stage burning cylinder ignites the coal powder in the lower stage burning cylinder or further burns with complemented air in the lower stage burning cylinder, the plasma ignition burner is characterized in that the axial direction of the plasma generator is parallel to the direction of coal powder containing air flow which enters the first stage burning cylinder, and is simultaneously parallel to the axial line of the burning cylinders.
