Coating device comprises a separate color changer (12) containing color valves to which are connected color lines (14) for the coating material. The color lines have a common outlet (15). The color changer is connected to a dosing device (10) or to a container of the dosing device parallel to further color lines (13). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Device with a container for the above coating container; and (2) Application device for coating material. Preferred Features: The color lines (13) run up to the dosing device or are connected to a line running into the dosing device.
