TWO TRANSISTORS FRINGE FIELD SWITCHING LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PURPOSE: Two transistor fringe field switching liquid crystal display devices are provided to generate a fringe electric field applied to a liquid crystal at a voltage lower than an existing FFS(Fringe Field Switching) mode. CONSTITUTION: An upper substrate or a lower substrate is a transparent glass substrate or a polymer substrate. A liquid crystal layer is between the upper substrate and the lower substrate. The upper substrate and the lower substrate are separated by the thickness of the liquid crystal layer. The first pixel electrode(5) is formed on the lower substrate in a plane shape or a pattern shape. The second pixel electrode(6) is patterned on the first pixel electrode.
