PURPOSE: A non-aqueous electrolyte and a rechargeable lithium battery including thereof are provided to form a stable film on the surface between a negative electrode and the non-aqueous electrolyte, and to improve the lifetime property of a high capacity battery. CONSTITUTION: A non-aqueous electrolyte for a rechargeable lithium battery contains a non-aqueous organic solvent, first lithium salt marked with chemical formula 1, and second lithium salt without boron. In the chemical formula 1, Ra~Rd are selected from the group consisting of a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group, a substituted or non-substituted alkylene group, a substituted or non-substituted alkylene oxide group, and halogen.
