The system has a multi-deck vehicle (10) comprising cabins (12, 14) for transporting persons and/or goods. The vehicle is movable along a guide rail (20) by a drive (18) and a support unit (16). A guide element (22) is attached to the cabin, and guides the cabin to the guide rail. The cabins are connected to each other by a coupling device (24) that is designed such that it transmits force, which is directed parallel to the longitudinal axis of the guide rails, between the cabins. A joint (24.1) connects the coupling device with the cabins.
