A converter motor or electrical appliance, comprising a connection box having an upper part that can be placed on a lower part, wherein the upper part comprises a plug connector and the lower part a corresponding counter plug connector. The upper part comprises an electronic circuit, particularly with converter functionality, wherein on the inside of the upper part a selector switch, particularly DIP switch is provided, wherein in a first switch position the converter motor is operational and cannot be parameterized, wherein in a second switch position the converter motor is operational and can be parameterized. |
