The invention relates to a pyrolysis system for carbonaceous ingredients, comprising a pyrolysis reactor (1), a heating section (3) for heat transfer particles (10) and a closed circuit of the heat transfer particles (10) through the pyrolysis reactor and the heating section. The aim of the invention was to modify the pyrolysis system so that, starting from the concept, it is suitable for implementing compact systems for decentralized use. The aim is achieved in that the heating section comprises burners (11, 20), wherein the burners can be heated by pyrolysis gas and low-oxygen exhaust gases from the combustion can be fed into the pyrolysis reactor (3) and form a low-oxygen pyrolysis atmosphere therein.
