PURPOSE: A mineral composition used for manufacturing alkaline water and a method for manufacturing the alkaline water using the same are provided to obtain excellent economical effects without a separate device and a reducing agent, to have superior bacterial increase prevention effect, and to reduce the concentration of active oxygen of blood. CONSTITUTION: A mineral composition used for manufacturing alkaline water comprises 8-10 parts by weight of potassium chloride, 40-60 parts by weight of potassium carbonate, 1-2 parts by weight of magnesium chloride, 1-2 parts by weight of calcium lactate, 3-7 parts by weight of sodium citrate, 15-30 parts by weight of refined sugar, and 2-5 parts by weight of purified glucose based on 100 parts by weight of purified water. The mineral composition is mixed with heated purified water. The mixed solution is filtered and the filtered mixture is mixed with purified water of a room temperature. The mixed solution is heated and sterilized at 100-125°C for 30 seconds ~ 10 minutes.
