<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder container which can be held upside down, prevents moisture absorption by powder even if the container interior has insufficient sealability, and makes handling of the powder easy. <P>SOLUTION: The powder container comprises a container body and a cap capping the mouth of the container body. The container body has a bottom wall surface having a shape that makes it impossible for the container body to stand upright with its mouth facing upward. The cap comprises a side wall having a ground part for use when the container body is upside down, and a capping portion where the mouth of the container body is capped with the side wall via a connecting part. The cap is formed to be capable of holding the bottom wall surface of the container body on the side wall and/or the connecting part and keeping the container body standing upright with its mouth facing upward. The cap, therefore, always holds the container body upside down when it is in storage so that the powder never absorbs moisture, and holds the container body standing upright temporarily when it is used.
