The method involves registering components such as intrusion detector, in a home control system and near a centralized control component by sending intrinsic data with the components to the centralized control component. The components are configured by associating additional data relating to the components near the centralized control component using a mobile keyboard. The control system is communicated to the components using a communication unit such as network e.g. Ethernetand/or without wire such as wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi)i.e. 802.11protocols. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a component of a home control system (2) a centralized control component comprising a memory unit. |
