PURPOSE: A protection solution for preventing ischemia containing hydroxamic acid or derivative thereof are provided to prevent local ischemic injury or reperfusion injury. CONSTITUTION: A protection solution for preventing ischemia contains buffer having sodium, potassium, and glycyl histidine and polyol or saccharide. The solution contains a hydroxamic acid derivative. A hydroxamic acid carbon in the hydroxamic acid derivative has hydrogen atom which is substituted with C1-C20 aryl group. The substitute contains hydroxyl group or methoxy group.
