<p>Plastics foam material from beads, especially for vehicles, has pimples formed at the outer surface to reduce friction noise. the pimples have a height of 0.001-1.0 mm, at intervals of 0.003-3.0 mm, with a diameter at the base of 0.001-5.0 mm and preferably 0.01-0.5 mm. The surface pimples are round and/or polygonal, conical or truncated cones. The material has a fused surface. An independent claim is included for the production of foam products using an automatic molding assembly, with the plastics beads within the hollow molding zones. A gas heat carrier is fed into the molds, and especially hot steam, with openings for the steam inflow and outflow. The mold surfaces have recesses to shape the pimples at the foam surfaces.</p> |
