PURPOSE: A fixing structure of a cable, a manufacturing method thereof, and an optical module are provided to fix a cable to a receptacle without an adhesive by uniting a grip which is formed through the formation of a resin in the outer peripheral part of the cable and a receptacle. CONSTITUTION: A cable(110) has the coating of a resin. A grip(130) is formed by forming the resin in the outer peripheral part of the cable through an outsert molding process. The grip is attached to the coating during the outsert molding process. A receptacle(150) comprises a concave part(151) which is combined in the grip in a direction which is vertical to the axial direction of the cable. The receptacle comprises a groove part(152) which passes through the cable. The coating and the grip are composed of the same kind of a resin. The grip comprises a rib which is extended in the combining direction of the concave part.
