PURPOSE: An X-line opaque glass and a use thereof are provided to economically manufacture the glass with the high quality, and to use the glass for a dental clinic glass and an optical glass. CONSTITUTION: An X-line opaque glass includes the refractive index of 1.57~1.61, and the aluminum equivalent thickness more than 400%. The X-line opaque glass contains 43~53wt% of SiO2, 15~21wt% of Al2O3, 0~6wt% of Li2O, 0~2wt% of Na2O, 0~2wt% of K2O, 0.5~7wt% of Cs2O, 0~6wt% of ZnO, 3~10wt% of ZrO2, 13~20wt% of La2O3, and 0~5wt% of Ta2O5. |
