PURPOSE: A terminal and a method for sharing data are provided to capture information transmitted to the second terminal on the screen of the first terminal to convert the captured information into image data in order to transmit the converted image data to the second terminal, thereby conveniently transceiving the data without file conversion between the terminals. CONSTITUTION: If an least one area to be captured is designated on a touch screen, a controller converts display data into still image data after capturing display data of the designated area(S112,S113). The controller displays a selection window for storing the converted still image data or selecting transmission of the image data(S114). If the transmission is selected on the selection window, the controller transmits the still image data to the second terminal(S117,S118).
