METHOD FOR PRECISELY DETECTING TARGET IN A SURVEILLANCE RADAR

PURPOSE: A precision target detecting method is provided to improve distance accuracy and minimize an interference signal in a precise target detecting algorithm for supporting a naval bombardment. CONSTITUTION: A search radar receives a signal from a target or impact point. A radar image is generated by rearranging the received signal of pulses used for a burst receiving signal to two-dimensional data array. The radar image is divided into a background noise, an estimation area, and a target detection area. The value of the background noise is calculated. The sizes of a distance direction and a bearing direction are determined.
