PURPOSE: A fixing device, an image forming apparatus, a recording medium, and a fixing treatment method are provided to set a standard fixing temperature based on standard toner, thereby heating a body to be heated at higher temperature than the standard fixing temperature if toner distinguished by a toner type distinguishing unit is not standard toner. CONSTITUTION: A toner type distinguishing unit(136) distinguishes types of toners of different melting points. A heating body is heated by a change of a fixing temperature assigned to the toner according to a type of the distinguished toner. When toner with a relatively high fixing point is used, a limit controller(132) limits the number of recording papers which can continuously settled. A fixing device rotates based on the limited number. |
