PURPOSE: A vortex flow meter is provided to reduce noise or pressure loss by the removal of level difference or uneven surface, since a flow path on both sides of a vortex generator is formed into the shape of a round, a long round, or an oval. CONSTITUTION: A vortex flow meter comprises a pipe, a vortex generator(12), and a measurement unit. The vortex generator is installed vertically to the pipe. The measurement unit measures the generation period of the Karman trail generated by the vortex generator. The vortex flow meter computes the flow rate of the fluid flowing in the pipe from the generation period of the Karman trail.
