LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY HAVING ENHANCED ENERGY DENSITY

PURPOSE: A lithium secondary battery is provided to decrease the final discharge voltage, to improve the capacity of the battery, and to increase the energy density. CONSTITUTION: A lithium secondary battery is formed with a positive electrode using a positive electrode active material containing a lithium-mixed transition metal oxide for absorbing and discharging a lithium ion. The final discharge voltage of the battery is 1.5~2.75V. The positive electrode active material uses various kinds of lithium-mixed transition metal oxide and a lithium cobalt oxide based positive electrode material.
