PURPOSE: A calibration device for a compass used as a learning tool is provided to detect malfunction of a compass in such a case that the needle of the compass is overturned due to careless use or the influence of magnets. CONSTITUTION: A calibration device for a compass used as a learning tool comprises an electromagnet, a micro computer, a resistor, a condenser, a relay, a push switch, an adaptor, a multi-functional board, and an enamel line. The electromagnet converts electrical energy into magnetic energy. The microcomputer outputs a command for performing a predetermined operation through program. The relay changes electrical contact with the operation of a small electromagnet. The push switch performs on/off function of a contact point by an external force. The adapter changes AC power to DC power. In the multi-functional board, electrical components are inserted and brazed. The enamel wire is made of a copper wire with the surface coated with an insulator.
