THE METHOD OF TRANSMITTING SIGNAL USING BANDWIDTH REQUEST CHANNEL AT A MOBILE STATION AND MOBILE STATION USING THE SAME METHOD

PURPOSE: A signal transmitting method using the bandwidth requesting channel of a terminal and the terminal using the same are provided to improve a power level which is allocated in a bandwidth requesting preamble by inserting a null-tone in an allocation region of a bandwidth requesting message. CONSTITUTION: A bandwidth requesting preamble sequence and a quick connection message are transmitted from a terminal to a base station in order to request a bandwidth(S610). In response with the request, a signal which confirms an acknowledgement is transmitted to the terminal(S620). An approval with respect to a standalone bandwidth request header is transmitted to the terminal(S630). The terminal transmits the standalone bandwidth request header to the base station(S640). An approval for transmitting an uplink is transmitted from the base station to the terminal(S650). The uplink is performed from the terminal to the base station(S660).
