PURPOSE: A torque sensor for EPS is provided to accurately obtain an auxiliary operating force required for vehicle steering with a new relation employed between the magnetic flux density and the twisted angle of a torsion bar. CONSTITUTION: A torque sensor(100) for EPS comprises an annular magnet(20), first and second stators(30,40) and a collector unit(60). The annular magnet has a ring shape. N and S poles are alternately arranged on the outer surface of the annular magnet along its circumference. The first stator comprises a first magnetic ring(32) and a second magnetic ring(36), which are able to be magnetized. The second stator(40) comprises a third magnetic ring(42) and a fourth magnetic ring(46), which are able to be magnetized. The collector unit comprises a first collector(61) and a second collector(63). The first collector is inserted between the first and second magnetic rings. The second collector is inserted between the third and fourth magnetic rings.
