TRANSPARENT STYRENE-BASED RESIN WITH HIGH IMPACT RESISTANCE AND HEAT RESISTANCE AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A transparent styrene-based resin is provided to remarkably improve shock resistance without damaging properties including heat resistance, transparency, and workability and to be used for optical and display materials. CONSTITUTION: A transparent styrene-based resin comprises a styrene-based polyolefin thermoplastic elastomer which is dispersed in a polymer including a styrene-based repeating unit, an alkyl(meth)acrylate-based repeating unit, and an (meth)acrylic acid-based repeating unit. T he content of the styrene-based polyolefin thermoplastic elastomer is 2-5 parts by weight based on 100.0 parts by weight of the polymer. The styrene-based repeating unit is selected from styrene, α-methylstyrene, p- bromostyrene, p-methylstryene, p-chlorostyrene, or o-bromostryene.
