PURPOSE: A method and a device for updating additional system information transmitted by a broadcasting message in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to transmit control/setup information to apply the additional system information through a super frame header despite a change of the additional system information, thereby effectively transmitting the control/setup information to a terminal without a separate signaling process. CONSTITUTION: When a received S-SFH CC(Secondary-Super Frame Header Change Count) value is the same as a stored S-SFH CC value, a terminal omits decoding for all S-SFH CCs and ABI(Additional Broadcast Information)(S1403,S1405). When the two values are different, the terminal checks a CB(Change Bitmap) of a P-SFH(Primary-Super Frame Header)(S1407). The terminal decodes and updates a corresponding SP IE(Sub Packet Information Element)(S1411). When a stored ACC(ABI Change Count) value is different from a received ACC(ABI Change Count) value, the terminal decodes or updates a corresponding changed ABI type(S1413,S1419). |
