The device (1) has side panels (3) supporting longitudinal ends of a motorized winding tube (10). Feet (5) are supported on outer side edges surrounding a swimming pool. Fixing units formed of support plates (6), transverse beams (7) and fixing brackets (8), fix the panels to the feet, where each panel is suspended to the feet by the units. The units adjust vertical and lateral positions of the panels relative to the feet in a different manner when a semi-open box is in a position in the pool. The feet are supported on outer edges of the pool if the units are positioned beyond a sundeck.
