PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost needed for a washing fluid or the like, to simplify the configuration, and to certainly eliminate the ink adhering to an ink discharge face. SOLUTION: A cleaning device of inkjet head 4 includes a wiper member 9 for wiping away the ink discharge face 2 of a head 1, an ink removal member 5 which contacts with only the ink adhering to the ink discharge face 2 and collects the ink, and a control means for carrying out the drive control for the wiper member 9 and ink removal member 5. In the cleaning device of inkjet head 4, the control means carries out the drive control for the ink removal member 5 in order to collect the ink adhering to the ink discharge face 2 after purging the head 1, and then carries out the drive control for the wiper member 9 in order to wipe away the ink discharge face 2, and then carries out again the drive control for the ink removal member 5 in order to collect the ink remained in the ink discharge face 2.
