PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: a coating film of nitride or carbonitride having high hardness can not be applied to a cold-working tool which is subjected to large impact because the possibility that the coating film peels off owing to high internal stress is high when trying to apply the coating film to the cold-working tool. SOLUTION: The cold-working tool having the coating film which is hard to peel off even when being subjected to the large impact while keeping the high hardness is provided, by piling up the coating film of a nitride or carbonitride of (Ti<SB>x</SB>Si<SB>1-x</SB>) or (Cr<SB>x</SB>Si<SB>1-x</SB>) having high hardness, wherein x=0.05 to 0.20, and the coating film of the nitride or the carbonitride of Ti or Cr alternately through a mixed layer of compositions of both layers not less than 50 cycles.
