<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support part mounting position measuring instrument and mounting position measuring method which can measure the mounting position of a support part easily, in a short time, and with high precision while minimizing alterations to the existing inspection method to surely prevent a S/A part having a large mounting error of its support part from flowing out to a next process. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The mounting position measuring instrument 1 includes: a measuring instrument main unit 2 including a link member 11 which is supported oscillatably and in such a manner that its oscillation direction is changeable and a displacement meter 6 for detecting the displacement amount of the link member 11; and an attachment member 3 which is formed with a measuring hole 3b indicating the position of a nut hole 50a alternatively. A probe 12 and a detection unit 13 are fixed to the link member 11. The displacement amount of a spherical part 12a when the probe 12 is brought into contact with a measuring surface 3c is measured by the displacement meter 6 as a displacement amount of a spherical part 13a in any uniaxial direction to detect the position of the measuring surface 3c and the mounting position of the nut hole 50a.
