PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft part insertion method positively aligning positions of a shaft part with a hole of a workpiece. SOLUTION: The workpiece is relatively moved toward the workpiece along a center direction of the shaft part in an inclining state of an end face 211 of the workpiece (a valve guide 210) with respect to the direction (horizontal direction) orthogonal to an axis of the shaft part 101. By making an end 101b of the shaft part abut on the end face of the workpiece, the shaft part is fit into an opening of a hole 212 while guiding the end of the shaft part by the end face of the workpiece.
