<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack protecting circuit which suppresses swelling of a battery cell and improves its safety by forcibly discharging the battery cell by itself, while stopping charging of the battery cell, when the battery cell is disposed in a high-temperature environment, and to provide the battery pack. <P>SOLUTION: The protecting circuit of a rechargeable battery cell having positive and negative poles has a self-discharging switching element connected to the positive and negative poles electrically, and has a control unit which is connected to the battery cell electrically and turns-on or turns-off the self-discharging switching element according to the temperature of the battery cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
