PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image distortion correction device capable of also reducing distortions of an image in a vertical direction only by performing the correction in a horizontal direction. SOLUTION: An image distortion correction device is provided with a compression/expansion magnification table 3, in which the compression/expansion magnification of the pixel interval of pixel data is described for each line/horizontal position. A buffer memory 1 sequentially accumulates input image data; a line/horizontal position information detection part 2 detects the information of the line and horizontal position of the image data read from the buffer memory 1; a compression/expansion magnification reading part 4 reads the compression/expansion magnification of the line/horizontal position detected by the line/horizontal position information detection part 2 from the compression/expansion magnification table 3; and a horizontal direction compression/expansion part 5 compresses and expands the image data read from the buffer memory 1 in a horizontal direction, by using the compression/expansion magnification read from the compression/expansion magnification reading part 4.
